We are looking for support in a variety of areas. Can you volunteer your time?

It might be summer, but the new football season is just around the corner and pre-season preparations are underway. In order to support the club's continued growth we are hoping to expand our match-day team, and also bring in other professional skills. If you are able to volunteer your time, then simply DM us on Twitter or drop Bryan an email on bryanhall040@gmail.com and let us know how you can help. You can also find out more at our Open Day on Saturday 30 June. We are looking for support in the following areas, but if you have skills in other areas, then please do suggest how you can help.

  • Community outreach - we want to work closely with local businesses, charities, schools and other groups to support our common aims. This can be as simple as ensuring that the local community are aware of fixtures of our men and women's first teams and promoting opportunities to join our younger teams.
  • Commercial - we are very fortunate to have a generous main sponsor from Peckham McDonalds. We recognise the value of expanding this to offer opportunities for sponsorship for other local businesses. We are looking for an individual to build long-term relationships with other potential partners in the area.
  • Bar / merchandise - we have a small bar known as Area 51 at the Menace Arena. We are looking to make improvements to the bar for 2018/19 season are looking for volunteers to manager the bar on matchdays. We will also introduce a range of merchandise (e.g. scarves, badges, beanies, caps etc.) for next season that we may sell from same area.
  • Website designer and manager - we are keen for a new website! We are looking for someone who can design a new independent website, and manage the site and content.
  • Matchday programme editor - we have produced programmes on an ad hoc basis over the last few seasons. We would like to publish a regular programme from next season, and are looking for someone who can coordinate material, edit, arrange for printing and sell on a matchday. This role may suit more than one person.
  • Media manager - we are looking for someone who can volunteer to film our games, conduct pre and post-match interviews and upload content to YouTube and the website. You would have the freedom to improve and deliver other media content as well.
  • Ad hoc financial and legal advice - as we seek to develop the Menace Arena in 18/19, then we expect that additional financial and legal advice will be required. If you are able to volunteer professional skills in this area, then we would be very grateful.

We are also keen to expand the management committee to support priority areas, and some of these roles might be suited to also be part of this group. The current management committee at Peckham Town consists of Bryan Hall (Founder and Co-Chair), Mike Smith (Co-Chair and main sponsor), Mary Phillip (CEO, youth development & women's first team coach), Alan Jacobs (men's first team manager) and Jackie Kemsley (Club Secretary).

Our women's team are looking to secure back-to-back promotion and win the The Greater London Women's Football League Division Two. While the men's first team are aiming to win the Kent County League Premier Division, and if we can make the necessary improvements to our ground, gain promotion to the 6th step of non-league. Youth football and community outreach will of course remain at the core of the club's work.

We very much hope you are able to join the Menace Family!
